Beulah Baptist Church has a community outreach program intended to be of benefit to those seeking food items or financial assistance with rent and/or utility bills.  The food is a donation there is certainly no charge.

Beulah Food Pantry

The Beulah Food Pantry is stocked with various types of non-perishable items.

One of the Beulah Baptist Church committees, the Benevolence Committee, oversees operation of this program, with the most activity centered around the Food Pantry.  Located in the office area of the Sanctuary Building (Directions), the Beulah Food Pantry is stocked with various types of non-perishable items such as canned vegetables and fruits, cereal, and uncooked pasta, to mention a few.

The Pantry is maintained through food and monetary donations from church members and the general public.  In addition, the Beulah Ministry Investment Plan always has a line item that provides an amount of funding.

A good way to describe this Beulah community outreach is using a question and answer format, and that follows.

Before doing so, an appeal goes to viewers of this page to consider helping to keep the Beulah Food Pantry stocked by either donating food items or money.  Why not download the shopping list whose link appears above and keep it with you.  When shopping at the supermarket, pick up a can, box, or bag (or two) of an item and bring it to Beulah.  The Lord will bless you for it!

What types of assistance are offered?

  1. The Food Pantry is open to the community. It is stocked by the Benevolence Committee and donations from Beulah members.
  2. Provision of financial assistance for rent and utilities is generally limited to the Beulah membership and those who are referred to Beulah by church members or a community organization.
  3. As Thanksgiving and Christmas near, the church assists families by providing either a food box or a gift card. Recipients are those referred by members, Interfaith Outreach, or the Salvation Army.

How are the Benevolence Ministries funded?

Each year, money is allocated in the Beulah Ministry Investment Plan (budget) for benevolence activities.  Interfaith Outreach and the Salvation Army also provide limited funds. Beulah members also give donations of food or money.

How do people request assistance?

Although a phone call is preferred as the first step, walk-ins are accepted. Everyone requesting assistance of any kind must fill out a Request Form and show a photo ID.
